Sony's brand-new CH-720N headphones were on sale for $98 during Amazon's summer Prime Day promotion in July. Given that they list for $150 and typically sell for around $130, I thought they were an excellent buy at that cost. One of the best full-size headphones deals currently available, they are back to $98 for Amazon's October Prime Day sale in both black and white.
Although the CH-720Ns don't come with a carrying bag and have a somewhat plasticky budget vibe, they are light and comfy. As I mentioned in my review of the Sony CH-720N, I had some low expectations for their audio quality. I was, however, pleasantly surprised. They don't sound as excellent as Sony's top-of-the-line WH-1000XM5s, but they sound more upscale than they feel and seem, and their overall performance is an improvement over the CH-710Ns, which they replace. Do they warrant $150? Perhaps, perhaps not. But at $98 they're a great deal.
